#R1# Hendrix with a lazy takedown attempt letting Hines counter with a right hand. Hendrix darts in looking for a takedown but Hines gets double underhooks and turns Hendrix into the cage. Hendrix shoots in for a takedown but Hines shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Hendrix. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hines scores with a jab to the body. Hendrix changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hines tries to avoid it but Hendrix manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hines to the ground. Hines escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hendrix shoots in but no luck this time. Hendrix closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Hendrix tries for a takedown but Hines circles away easily letting Hines counter with a right hand. #TD# Hendrix shoots in and gets a takedown into Hines's guard. Soares throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hendrix with the counter takedown but Soares avoids it easily. Soares throws a series of punches but Hendrix avoids them all with ease. Soares throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Horrible takedown attempt by Hendrix or perhaps it was just good defense by Soares, which made it look bad. #KD# Nice combo by Soares! Oh, that's hurt him - Hendrix falls to the canvas and Soares follows him into side control. #ROC# Hendrix is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Soares in side control, just content to control the action for now. Soares has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Soares will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#T1# Hendrix is trying to improve his position. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hendrix working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Hendrix stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Soares swivels though and keeps the full guard. Soares not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hendrix shoots in for a takedown but Soares shows good takedown defense. Andre Hendrix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hendrix takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Soares lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Hendrix goes down and covers up as Soares starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

#R1##CL# Chance moves into range and clinches up with Hendrix. Chance lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Chance is pressed up against the cage. Hendrix has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chance down to the mat. Chance avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hendrix shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chance as he jumps to the side. #TD# Chance shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hendrix's guard. Chance is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Killer Instinct ☠ that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Chance trying to control but Hendrix is working from the bottom. Chance not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Chance has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.#SUB2# Hendrix is looking to cinch up a triangle. Chance throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hendrix's body to avoid the submission. Hendrix has instead reached around Chance's neck and now has a guillotine!
