Hewitt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Isaev tries to free his leg and advance position but Hewitt is retaining full guard. #ES# Hewitt manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Hewitt wants a takedown but no success here.
Hewitt is trying to pull guard but Isaev has him pressed against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Isaev as Hewitt tries to tie him up. Hewitt tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronny Hewitt. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Hewitt has dropped down and is working for a takedown. #T3# Isaev wants to advance to full mount but Hewitt doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Isaev looks winded!#ES# The fighters are working up against the cage. Hewitt manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Hewitt fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hewitt tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Isaev smiles and moves away.

Isaev appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.#TD2# Isaev shoots in and bounces Hewitt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.#ES# Hewitt has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Isaev is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.#T4# Hewitt can't get the takedown.
#TD# Hewitt decides to pull guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hewitt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Isaev is controlling him. Hewitt avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Isaev prevents Hewitt from getting back to his feet. Isaev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#ES# Hewitt kicks Isaev off and gets to his feet. #TD2# Isaev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hewitt on his heels. He'll look to pass Hewitt's guard now, I'm sure. Isaev won't allow Hewitt to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hewitt has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
