#R1##TD2# Chibo feints and as Oenomaus raises his hands in defense, Chibo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Oenomaus looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Chibo trying to control the position from guard on top but Oenomaus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #SUB2# Chibo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Oenomaus can't keep his opponent in guard - Chibo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Chibo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. #SUB2# Chibo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Oenomaus is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Chibo! During a confident post fight interview, John Chibo thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
