#R1# Stephens shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Big defends it nicely. It looked like Big was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.#CL# Big rushes Stephens and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Big has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Stephens wants to stall.
Big keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stephens's efforts to push away. Big wants a takedown but no success here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stephens drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Big gets the underhooks and prevents it.
#TD# Big pulls guard. #T1##SUB2# Stephens drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stephens jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Stephens working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Stephens loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stephens trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Big will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Big working a defensive guard here.
Stephens sitting in guard, not really doing much. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Stephens trying to control but Big is working from the bottom. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Stephens takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.#CL2# Stephens has Big up against the cage in a clinch.
Stephens should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Big fails to pull guard.

Stephens punishes Big's body with a nice straight punch. Stephens waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Big. Stephens scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Stephens moves in looking to clinch but Big pushes him off. Big is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Stephens. Big on the wrong end of a nice hook.#T3# Big takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Big shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stephens pinned against the cage. Stephens gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dablaz Big. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stephens throws a head kick but Big moves out of range.
Stephens scores with a sloppy right hand. Big should have avoided that one. A looping hook to the body misses from Stephens. Big does a little dance to reset his feet. Big stuffs the takedown attempt from Stephens. Stephens gets slowly back to his feet. Stephens thows a body kick. Big tries to catch it but that hurt him. Stephens lands with a good body shot. Stephens is looking to take this one to the mat. Stephens is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Big gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Stephens connects with a knee to the head.
Stephens looks winded! Big drops down looking for an ankle pick but Stephens pulls his leg out and moves away.

You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Stephens postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Stephens tries to free his leg and advance position but Big is retaining full guard. Big is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Big's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stephens slips a nice elbow through Big's hands, connecting with Big's forehead.#SUB2# Stephens seems to be working for a kimura but Big defends the submission attempt. Stephens keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.#T4# Stephens passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Big! Stephens has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stephens controlling the pace for now. Stephens's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Stephens with a couple of short strikes. Big on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Big tries to get out of the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stephens looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Stephens throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Big. Big is looking for a counter combo. Stephens displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Justin Stephens seems to be getting the better of the standup. Stephens is looking to clinch. Nice body kick from Stephens.#T2# Stephens throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Big stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Stephens lands a nice shot that snaps Big's head back.

Dablaz Big has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Justin Stephens is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Stephens lands a few punches from side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Justin Stephens comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Stephens has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
