#R1# Peterson lands with a kick to the temple. Sakamoto shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" A head kick by Peterson misses #TD# and Sakamoto counters with a single leg into guard. Peterson didn't expect that. Sakamoto is stalling in the full guard. Sakamoto prevents Peterson from getting back to his feet. Sakamoto seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sakamoto throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sakamoto prevents Peterson from getting back to his feet. Sakamoto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peterson swivels though and keeps the full guard. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Sakamoto is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Sakamoto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#T3# Peterson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sakamoto controls the pace. Sakamoto throws an elbow that misses. Peterson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sakamoto's guard. Nice move by Peterson !#REVB# Peterson preventing the sweep. Peterson tries to clinch up. As Peterson tries to get set, Sakamoto tries to push him back and clinch up but Peterson manages to avoid the attempt. Sakamoto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Peterson as he avoids it easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Peterson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Peterson throws a head kick that misses #TD# and Sakamoto decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Peterson 's guard. Sakamoto with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Sakamoto postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Sakamoto keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Peterson 's head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sakamoto accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Peterson wants to stand and escape but Sakamoto is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sakamoto is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Peterson reverses the position - he's now on top in Sakamoto's guard. Peterson wants to stand but Sakamoto has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sakamoto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Peterson 's guard. #REVR# Sakamoto throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Peterson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sakamoto advances position into side control! Sakamoto is looking to take a break and control but Peterson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. A lull in the action here.#T1# Peterson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sakamoto asserts his dominance and retains side control. Sakamoto cracks Peterson with an elbow. That is naaassty. Peterson is looking to get back to his feet here but Sakamoto is keeping cool and he's managed to take Peterson 's back.#SUB# Sakamoto looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Peterson taps!

#R1# Peterson throws a lazy head kick and Green counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Peterson throws a sloppy head kick and Green moves out of range easily. Peterson throws a head kick that misses. Green went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Peterson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Peterson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Green is looking to counter with head kicks. Peterson throws a head kick that misses and Green counters with a left and a right that stings Peterson . Robbin Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peterson throws a head kick but Green moves out of range.
Peterson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Peterson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Peterson wants it to stay on the feet.#CL# Green closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Green managing to block the knees to the body from Peterson .
Green has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Peterson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Peterson crunches a lovely knee into Green's ribcage. Peterson misses with a knee strike.

#REVR# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Green seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Peterson wants to stand and escape but Green is having none of it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Green. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD# Green throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Peterson was covering up waiting for the punch and Green finishes the takedown easily into guard. #SUB# Green drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Green jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #T3# Green stays in close to Peterson 's body and controls the position. Green pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Peterson is keeping the position for now. Peterson wants to stand up but Green is controlling him. #ES2# Peterson uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Green shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Peterson pinned against the cage. Peterson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #CL# Green closes the distance and clinches. Green tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Peterson smiles and moves away.

#ROC2# Green is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Dan Green has been cut. Peterson lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Green head around and knocks him out cold! Peterson hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Peterson throws a head kick but Shevchenko moves out of range.
Shevchenko wants to stay close but Peterson steps back to make room for something. Shevchenko seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Peterson and Shevchenko drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
