#R1# Weeks shoots for a takedown but Pesina saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Weeks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#CL2# Pesina gets a clinch. Come on Pesina - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The referee is keeping an eye on Pesina - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Weeks trying to land knees to the body.
Weeks dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Weeks holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Weeks seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Pesina prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Weeks managing to block the knees to the body from Pesina.

Weeks leaning his opponent against the cage. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Gabriel Weeks.#CL2# Pesina closes the distance and pushes Weeks back into the cage. Pesina has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Weeks is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Weeks jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pesina walks away with a smile on his face. Weeks gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Weeks. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pesina will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

#CL2# Pesina forces Weeks back against the cage and clinches.#TD2# Pesina pulls guard effortlessly. #SU# Pesina is working an open guard so Weeks takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.#CL2# Pesina takes the fight into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pesina tries to pull guard but Weeks forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Knees to the body from Pesina.
Weeks tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pesina avoids it. Pesina tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
#TD2# Pesina jumps into guard, dragging Weeks to the mat.
Pesina looks winded! Weeks sitting in guard here, content to control. Weeks is fighting to break Pesina's control of his arms but Pesina is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.#T3##SU# Weeks stands up and waves to Pesina to follow him. Pesina shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Weeks is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Pesina. A kick lands to the mid section there for Weeks. Pesina keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
#TD# Weeks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pesina was covering up waiting for the punch and Weeks finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pesina is looking to stand back up but Weeks counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Pesina. #T4##REVB# Weeks controlling the action here. Weeks has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SU# Weeks decides to stand and escape the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dominic Pesina dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2# Weeks shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pesina sprawls well. Pesina wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Weeks gets slowly back to his feet.#CL2# Pesina has closed the distance and engaged Weeks in a clinch.
Weeks wants a takedown.
#TD2# Pesina has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Weeks clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!#ES# Weeks manages to stand up with Pesina still on his back. Eventually Pesina drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pesina stalks Weeks and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Weeks's face. Weeks staggers backwards, shaken.#T1##CL2# Pesina gets in close and instigates a clinch. Weeks prevents a takedown attempt there.
Pesina is breathing heavily.#TD# Weeks has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pesina uses from the top position. Weeks is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. #SUB# Weeks is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pesina is aware though and is defending well. Pesina in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pesina accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pesina controls from within his opponent's guard. Pesina really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weeks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Weeks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pesina gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T2# Pesina is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Weeks throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Pesina trying to control but Weeks is working from the bottom. #SUB# Weeks is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pesina defends well.#T3# There's a bit of a scramble here and now Weeks is on top in guard.

#SU# Weeks gets to his feet. Pesina looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Weeks fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Weeks. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T4# Weeks is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pesina sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pesina misses with a two punch combination.
Weeks throwing a counter right hand but Pesina manages to avoid it.#TD# Weeks drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pesina bucks up and tries to throw Weeks off but instead Weeks has got his back! Weeks just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Weeks stopping the sweep attempt from Pesina. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SU# Weeks gets to his feet - Pesina follows without any prompting. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL2# Pesina clinches up against the cage. Pesina wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Weeks tries to score a body lock takedown but Pesina shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Pesina wants to get back to striking at distance but Weeks won't allow it.

#TD# Weeks gets the takedown into side control. #SUB# Weeks is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Pesina is trying to escape and Weeks transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Pesina is forced to tap! Nice work there by Weeks! Very nice indeed!
