#R1##CL# Cline clinches up with Gustafson and pushes him back against the cage.#BC2# Gustafson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gustafson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Gustafson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cline on the side of the head. Gustafson lands with a nice body punch. Gustafson lands a jab to Cline's midsection. Gustafson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. A jab from Gustafson does it's job there. Cline takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cline has a takedown stuffed. Gustafson looks to land a combination. Cline sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cline gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Gustafson scores with a jab to the body. Gustafson lands a jab.#T1##TD# Cline looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Gustafson looks winded! Cline lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Cline throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Cline working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #SUB# Cline is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gustafson sees it coming and defends easily.#SUB# Cline is trying for a kimura here. Gustafson looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Cline wins by kimura!

#R1# No joy there for Gustafson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
West has a takedown stuffed. Gustafson looks to throw the jab but West is out of range. Gustafson jabs West to the body, keeping him at a distance. Gustafson misses with a series of wild punches.
Gustafson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Gustafson throws a right and a left that West avoids nicely. Jab from Gustafson. Gustafson throws a shot from downtown. West moves away and avoids it.#TD2# Gustafson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows West to score an easy takedown into full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. West looking to control the position here, rather than advance. West throwing strikes but missing. #T1# West slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.#SU2# West decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gustafson, up you get! West staying out of range there. Alexander Gustafson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. West rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gustafson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. West tries to clinch up.#T3# A big left from Gustafson misses. Nice straight punches there by Gustafson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gustafson. Gustafson looks to throw the jab but West is out of range. Gustafson slaps away a takedown attempt from West, before circling back to the center of the mat. An attempted straight right counter from Gustafson misses the target.#TD2# West gets a double leg takedown into Gustafson's guard. West slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gustafson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Gustafson is breathing heavily. West remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. West trying to control the position but Gustafson is working away. #T4# West passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Gustafson! West with the ground and pound from mount. West looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SUB2# West working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Gustafson turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips West off and cradles Gustafson's limp body as West celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). John West! After winning the bout, John West thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

#R1# Gustafson with a hook. Gustafson throws a series of punches but Perez avoids them all with ease. Perez is looking to counter the offense by Gustafson and move into the clinch. No joy there for Perez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gustafson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Gustafson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Perez doesn't seem bothered though. Nice takedown defense from Gustafson. No joy for Perez on that attempt. Gustafson scores with the left hand. Perez knows he should have avoided that one. Gustafson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Perez. Perez circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Gustafson jabs at Perez's body. Gustafson scores with a jab to the jaw. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gustafson catches Perez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A jab from Gustafson finds it's way through Perez's defenses. Gustafson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Gustafson connects with a body shot that sends Perez's belly button to the back. Gustafson scores with a punch to the head. Gustafson lands a glancing blow to the side of Perez's head.#ROC2# Perez is rocked! Gustafson jabs at Perez's body. Oh Perez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Perez tries to bum rush Gustafson with a series of wild strikes but Gustafson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.#T1# Perez on the wrong end of a nice hook. Gustafson cracks Perez with an open hand slap. and Gustafson counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Perez! He's just covering up as Gustafson starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
