Nice takedown defense from Wilder. No joy for Cote on that attempt. Wilder looks to land a combination. Cote sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.#TD# Cote gets caught napping as Wilder dives in and scores a takedown. Cote manages to retain guard.#ES2# Cote pushes Wilder off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wilder swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
#CL2# and Cote counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cote. #TD2# Cote has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. Cote unleashes a big counter combination but Owens bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Cote tries to clinch there but Owens circles away.
Cote has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Owens.#TD# Owens dives in and scores a takedown into Cote's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Owens is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Cote is trying to control the position but Owens postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Owens tries to stand but Cote is controlling from the bottom. Owens slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. #T1# Owens tries to stand but Cote is controlling from the bottom. Owens throwing strikes from guard but Cote blocks nicely. Owens is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Owens really is a fat lump. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cote keeping moving, preventing Calhoun from controlling successfully. Farmer wants to get back to his feet. Farmer can't do much from the bottom here. Farmer wants to get back to his feet but Cote is dominant here and he's now got Farmer's back! Farmer is keeping busy.
