#R1##TD# Leonard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz wants to control but Leonard is keeping busy and won't allow it. #SUB2# Diaz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Leonard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#SUB2# Diaz actively working from the bottom here. Diaz is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz is trying to get back to full guard.#SUB# Leonard is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Diaz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Leonard. Diaz moves into full guard.

#R1# Leeroy throws a sloppy head kick #TD# and Leonard counters with a nice double leg into guard. Leonard controlling from the top position. Leonard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leeroy on the ground. Leonard stopping the sweep attempt from Leeroy. Leonard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leonard engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.#T1# Leeroy looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Leonard puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Leeroy trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leonard content to control rather than advance. Leeroy is trying to get back to full guard.#SUB# Leonard is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Leeroy tries for a takedown but Leonard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Leeroy fails with the takedown#CL# and Leonard holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Leonard's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Leeroy has Leonard pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Leonard manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Johnnie Leonard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Leeroy. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Leeroy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bruce Leeroy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Leeroy throws a sloppy head kick and Leonard counters with a big head kick but Leeroy shrugs it off. Leonard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Leeroy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Leonard. Leeroy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Leonard circles away. Leonard leaves Leeroy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Leeroy looks winded! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Leeroy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Leonard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Leeroy tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

#R1# Marz tries to grapple but his opponent circles #TD# and Leonard counters with a nice double leg into side control. Marz won't be happy with that. Marz tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Leonard lands a nice shot to the head. Marz tries to reverse the position but Leonard maintains control. Leonard pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Leonard looking to control and managing it successfully. #SUB# Leonard is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Leonard extends the arm and Marz is forced to tap!

Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Leonard is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Leonard is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Muggin.

Skandalaki let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Leonard dives in for a single leg takedown but Skandalaki sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Leonard shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Skandalaki counters with a leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnnie Leonard. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leonard looks to clinch and Skandalaki counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.#TD# Leonard throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Skandalaki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Leonard is in Skandalaki's guard. Skandalaki is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Leonard dives into side control.

As Leonard backs off Skandalaki throws a huge counter combo but Leonard manages to avoid it all. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
