Smith is in close to Stephenson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Smith trying to control but Stephenson is working from the bottom. Stephenson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Smith showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# It looks like Smith might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Stephenson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Smith tries to land a body kick and Stephenson counters with a lovely straight right hand!#TD2# Smith drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Stephenson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Smith doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
#SU# Stephenson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. #TD2# Smith decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Smith looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stephenson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Stephenson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smith on the ground. Stephenson pushes Smith off looking to stand but Smith dives back in and keeps control.
Smith wants to pass to mount but Stephenson is defending the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stephenson manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Smith is stalling in the full guard. Stephenson wants to get back to his feet but Daren is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Stephenson is looking to stand back up but Daren counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Stephenson. Stephenson wants to get back to his feet.

#R1##KD2# Cannon lands a big uppercut and Stephenson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Stephenson looks OK. Cannon waves Stephenson back to his feet!#CUT2# It looks like Lester Stephenson has been cut.#CL2# Cannon forces Stephenson back against the cage and clinches.#TD# Stephenson pulls guard effortlessly. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#ES# Stephenson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A right hand to the body from Stephenson.
Cannon is trying to push Stephenson away but Stephenson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#TD2# Cannon gets control of Stephenson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cannon is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Waugh has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Stephenson is landing a low percentage of strikes. Waugh lands a nice shot that snaps Stephenson's head back.

Parker dances in with a quick combination. Stephenson is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Parker snaps Stephenson's head back. Stephenson stumbles backwards against the cage. Parker steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Stephenson's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Stephenson just didn't come prepared.
