Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Yodsanan Kaewsamrit and Condor Drago. Condor Drago is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Yodsanan Kaewsamrit! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Condor Drago! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kaewsamrit pulls guard effortlessly. Drago thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drago drops back looking for a leg! Kaewsamrit is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kaewsamrit manages to kick Drago off! Drago jumps back into Kaewsamrit's guard. Drago stays in close to Kaewsamrit's body and controls the position. Drago is pushing down on Kaewsamrit's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kaewsamrit is fighting to maintain full guard but Drago has managed to sneak the leg through. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Drago performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Drago has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kaewsamrit defend it? Drago steps over the head and cranks it - Kaewsamrit is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Drago!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Condor Drago! A relieved looking Condor Drago thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
