#R1##CL2# Carlsson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Carlsson displaying some good clinch control by pressing Martin up against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Martin can't get the takedown.
#BC# Martin manages to break the clinch.
Carlsson lands with a kick to the ribs.
Carlsson scores with a shot to the body.
Carlsson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. #CL2# Carlsson closes the distance and pushes Martin back into the cage. Carlsson gets through Martin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Carlsson lands on the inside with an uppercut. #TD2# Carlsson jumps guard and drags Martin to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SU# Martin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carlsson looks to land a combination but Martin avoids it well. Carlsson looks for a takedown but Martin sprawls well. Martin wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.#T1# Martin throws a nice outside leg kick. #CL# Martin closes the distance and clinches. Carlsson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Martin or not. Martin tries to break the clinch but Carlsson is controlling the position. Martin really is a fat lump. Carlsson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Martin's efforts to push away. Martin is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Carlsson is defending well. Martin has Carlsson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Carlsson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Colton Martin. That's going to take a lot out of him. A short left from Carlsson. Martin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Martin is trying to break free. Martin is looking for a takedown. Martin is breathing heavily.#TD# Martin is trying to trip Carlsson. He has hold of a leg but Carlsson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Martin persists though and gets the takedown into guard.#ES2# Carlsson manages to escape and get back to his feet.
#T2# We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carlsson misses with a two punch combination.
#CL2# Martin gets tackled into the cage by Carlsson. Carlsson maintains the clinch. #TD2# Carlsson pulls Martin into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Martin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Carlsson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Martin is controlling him. #ES2# Carlsson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. #T3# Martin is looking to break free of the clinch but Carlsson has double underhooks. Carlsson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Martin. Carlsson has Martin pressed against the cage, preventing Martin from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Come on Carlsson - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Carlsson lands a good knee to the midsection. Martin won't want to take too many of those. A body shot lands from Carlsson.
Carlsson content to slow the pace in the clinch.
#BC2# Carlsson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Heidar Carlsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Martin takes one on the button.#CUT2# It looks like Colton Martin has been cut.#CL2# Carlsson darts in and clinches Martin up against the cage.#TD2# Carlsson pulls guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carlsson can do anything to dispel that myth. Carlsson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Martin is controlling him. #T4##SUB# Martin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. #ES2# The fighters are working up against the cage. Carlsson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Martin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.#BC2# Carlsson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Martin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#KD2# Carlsson drops Martin with a beautiful combination! Martin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Carlsson is looking for the KO!#ROC2# Martin is rocked! OH! Martin has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Carlsson smells blood and charges in for the finish! Carlsson unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Martin sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
