#R1##TD# Miller looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Miller winds up and cracks Parish with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Miller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Parish for as long as he can get away with. Miller lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Parish can do anything to dispel that myth. Miller controlling the action here. Miller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Parish's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#T1# Miller thows a huge punch but Parish dodges it nicely.
Miller is taking a breather. Parish says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Miller has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Parish taking some punishment here, with Miller in his half guard. #SUB# Miller is looking for a kimura but Parish is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Miller to get the leverage. Miller throwing shots but Parish is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T2# Parish wants to control but Miller passes into side.
Miller controls the position. Miller working the ground and pound from side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Parish looks winded!#SUB# Miller has an Americana. Parish didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Miller is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Miller hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

#R1# Parish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Greeley swats him away and circles back towards the center. Parish walks into a stiff left hand from Greeley. Parish shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Greeley lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Danga de danga de dang - Greeley scores with a four punch combination! Parish walks into a straight right hand from Greeley. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Greeley lands with a shot to the body. Greeley goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Parish throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Greeley throws out a counter right but Parish avoids it with no problem.#T1# Parish drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Greeley lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Parish at a distance.

#CL# Parish darts in and clinches Greeley up against the cage. Parish tries to pull guard but Greeley forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Greeley can't break the clinch.
Parish keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Greeley's efforts to push away. Greeley blocks the elbow strike.

#T2# Nice cross by Greeley. Daren Greeley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Greeley stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Parish moves forwards but Greeley connects with a nice, crisp jab. Greeley scores with a jab to the head.

Parish takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Greeley works over Parish's head and body with a nice combination.#T3# Parish throws a leg kick that is checked and Greeley counters with a two punch combo. Greeley jabs Parish right on the nose. Greeley cracks Parish with an open hand slap. Parish moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Left hook, right uppercut from Greeley. Parish throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Greeley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Parish circles away quickly and effectively.#T4# Greeley throws a series of strikes that have Parish backpedaling.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Greeley keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Parish looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Greeley lunges at Parish with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Parish's hand. Parish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Greeley swats him away and circles back towards the center. Daren Greeley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parish gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Greeley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Greeley scores with a jab. Parish ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Greeley moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greeley uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Parish has time to react. Parish walks into a left hand. Greeley has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jab by Greeley. Parish shoots in looking for a takedown. Greeley tries to sprawl out of it but Parish keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Greeley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Greeley swats him away and circles back towards the center. Greeley lands a nice shot to the body.

Daren Greeley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Greeley lands a really nice looking cross but Parish seems unphased.

Parish moves in looking to clinch but Greeley pushes him off. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Greeley! But no joy. Jab by Greeley. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Parish. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Greeley lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Greeley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Greeley wants it to stay on the feet. Greeley throws out a counter right but Parish avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Haiden Parish.
