George Jr tests Cortez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cortez throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
George Jr throws out a counter right but Cortez avoids it with no problem.
George Jr circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cortez looks to land a body kick but George Jr moved away.
Cortez throws a left and a right that both miss
and George Jr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
George Jr feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cortezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
George Jr scores with a nice right hand. #ROC2#
Cortez is rocked!
Cortez takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Oh Cortez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cortez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and George Jr counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
George Jr leaves Cortez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Cortez walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Cortez limp body while George Jr jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gorgeous George Jr!

Ivamov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cortez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.#ES#
Cortez throws Ivamov to one side and escapes!

Ivamov gets off balance looking for a body kick#TD#
and Cortez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ivamov won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#SUB#
Cortez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ivamov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Cortez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ivamov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Cortez yanks on the arm and Ivamov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Cortez.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Milo Cortez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cortez jumps guard but Lee stands there with Cortez around his waist. Cortez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lee is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Cortez like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Cortez from another fist facial!
