Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Shawn Brown and Nick Meier. Brown's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, DEATHSTARS - Metal. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Shawn Brown! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Nick Meier! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Horrible takedown attempt by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Meier, which made it look bad. Brown fails with the takedown. Meier tries to counter with a clinch but Brown shakes him off and moves away. Brown tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Meier manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Meier moves into the clinch. Brown prevents the takedown attempt.

Meier drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brown gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Shawn Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Meier. Brown has Meier pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Meier manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Meier gets control of Brown's arms and successfully pulls guard. Meier will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Brown has his foot on Meier's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Meier works his way back into a safe position though. Brown is breathing heavily.

Meier doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Meier manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. No, Brown has escaped the position, nice work there. Meier wants to control but Brown is keeping him busy. Meier is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brown knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Meier is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Brown will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Meier is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brown is just riding it out for now. Meier eventually gives up the hold. #R1# Brown shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Curtis pinned against the cage. Curtis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #TD2# Brown closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brown lands in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brown wants to control from the top but Curtis keeps moving. Brown stands up over Curtis, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Curtis swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown stays in close to Curtis's body and controls the position. Brown wants to control from the top but Curtis keeps moving. #T1# Brown stopping the sweep attempt from Curtis. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Curtis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Curtis is retaining full guard. Brown engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Brown with a flurry of punches that miss. Curtis has momentary wrist control but Brown slips an elbow through the middle.#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.#SUB2# Brown drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brown jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brown slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. #SUB2# Brown has gone for a leg lock! Curtis slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brown's guard.#REVR##SUB2# Brown is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Curtis postures up.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Curtis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. #T3##SUB2# Curtis is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Brown has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Curtis is looking to defend but Brown has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Curtis! Brown pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Curtis taps out and this one is all over!
