Jones is really struggling to control Sakuragi but he's trying to hold on to the position.#SUB# Jones is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sakuragi is aware though and is defending well. Sakuragi looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Jones looking for a guillotine here but Sakuragi defends easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Jonny Jones will probably get the nod. That's time! A nice combination there by Gold.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Johnson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sakuragi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sakuragi trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Johnson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sakuragi's guard. Johnson pushes down on Sakuragi's leg and manages to get into half guard. Johnson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sakuragi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #T2##SUB2# The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Johnson wants to work for an arm triangle but Sakuragi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
