#R1# Luciano tries to move into range but Gozu moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Luciano takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Gozu misses with an uppercut. Luciano feinted with a counter takedown. Gozu throws a chopping leg kick but Luciano manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Luciano appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Gozu lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Gozu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gozu throws a series of punches but Luciano moves out of range. A clash of legs there as Luciano blocks the low kick. Nice cross by Gozu. Miller Gozu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gozu connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Decent striking displayed by Gozu there. Some wild striking there from Gozu.
Luciano drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gozu sprawls and moves away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A low kick from Gozu misses #TD# and Luciano decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. It looks like Gozu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Luciano looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gozu is one step ahead there. Gozu pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Luciano is keeping the position for now. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Gozu showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Gozu might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Luciano haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gozu looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gozu! #REVB# Luciano is breathing heavily.#T4# Luciano is looking to regain half guard here but Gozu keeps moving and retains side control. Gozu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Luciano keeps working. Gozu is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Luciano tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gozu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Luciano is not content to let Gozu control the position. Luciano tries to improve position but can't. Gozu is looking to take a break and control but Luciano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Luciano prevents Gozu from improving position. Luciano is trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miller Gozu dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! #R2# Luciano drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Gozu tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Luciano is able to avoid easily. Gozu lands an overhand right. Gozu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Gozu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gozu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Luciano. Luciano gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Gozu scores with a nice head shot.#ROC2# Luciano is rocked! Gozu connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Luciano! He's out on his feet! Gozu rushes in and drops Luciano with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

#R1# Luciano shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Crank defends it nicely. Crank tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Luciano fails with a takedown attempt.#TD2# Crank drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Luciano is trying to improve his position. Luciano is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crank winds up and cracks Luciano with a swinging punch to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Luciano gets back to full guard.
Crank looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Crank must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#SUB# Luciano is actively looking for submissions from his back.
