and Ayala counters with a solid body kick. #KD2# Penny cracks Ayala with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ayala looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Penny finish him?
#CUT2# It looks like Xavier Ayala has been cut. Penny closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Ayala out cold! Ayala corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Princess Penny! During a confident post fight interview, Princess Penny thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

#R1##TD2# Ayala gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ben Joshua trying to control the position from guard on top but Ayala is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ayala wants to stand up but Ben Joshua is controlling him. Ben Joshua engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ben Joshua won't allow Ayala to get back to his feet. Ayala could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#T1# Ben Joshua trying to control the position from guard on top but Ayala is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ben Joshua wants to pass the guard but Ayala is keeping the position.#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#TD2# Ben Joshua looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.#SUB# Ayala looking for submissions off his back. Ben Joshua is taking a breather. Ayala says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.#T2# Ayala is looking to escape. Ben Joshua trying to control from Ayala's half guard. Ayala has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Ayala is looking to stand up but Ben Joshua isn't so interested in that idea. Ben Joshua would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Ben Joshua really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ayala. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#ES# Ayala pushes Ben Joshua off and scrambles back to his feet.

Ayala's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Xavier Ayala. Well Ayala has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
