#R1##TD# Schultz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Schultz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Schultz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Frost is trying to get back to half guard. Schultz is looking to take a break and control but Frost is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #SUB# Schultz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Frost, who protects the arm well. Frost wants to control but Schultz postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frost regains half guard.#SUB# Schultz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

#R1# Schultz motions for Perez to come forward. Schultz throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Schultz has a takedown stuffed. Perez throws a sloppy head kick and Schultz moves out of range easily. Schultz scores with a nice head shot.#TD2# Perez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Schultz sprawls well initially but Perez persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Perez winds up and cracks Schultz with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Schultz wants to get back to full guard. Perez is controlling the pace.

Lucas Perez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Schultz takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Perez is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Perez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Perez looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Schultz throwing strikes from guard but Perez blocks nicely. Schultz looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Perez is punishing Schultz with strikes - can he finish him?!
And that's the end of the fight! Lucas Perez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Perez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Schultz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Union is in Schultz's guard. Union stays in close to Schultz's body and controls the position. Schultz looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Union puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Schultz wants to get back to full guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Reyes lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. #CUT2# It looks like Darrell Schultz has been cut. Schultz wants to get back to his feet.
