Fitzpatrick is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. McAdams with a poor takedown letting Fitzpatrick counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin McAdams. That's going to take a lot out of him. McAdams dives in for a single leg takedown but Fitzpatrick sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes. McAdams shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Fitzpatrick connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McAdams with a lazy takedown attempt and Fitzpatrick counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from McAdams is defended easily by Fitzpatrick. As McAdams backs off Fitzpatrick throws a huge counter combo but McAdams manages to avoid it all. McAdams dives in for a single leg takedown but Suomalainen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Suomalainen throws a looping overhand right but McAdams ducks down to avoid it. McAdams tries for a takedown but Suomalainen circles away easily enabling Suomalainen to counter with a crisp jab. Suomalainen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McAdams on the side of the head. McAdams moves out of range as Suomalainen strikes.
