Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss. Fernandez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.#CL2# Johnson has closed the distance and engaged Fernandez in a clinch.
Johnson lands an elbow inside. Fernandez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Johnson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kennedy darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Kennedy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kennedy misses with a body shot.

Fernandez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fernandez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Fernandez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Despite the aggression on Blakowitz's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Fernandez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fernandez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fernandez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Blakowitz defends well and Fernandez ends up having to push Blakowitz into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Fernandez takes a shot right to the bread basket. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fernandez shoots in looking for a takedown but Blakowitz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fernandez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
