Iron takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Horrible takedown attempt by Iron or perhaps it was just good defense by Schmelzer, which made it look bad. #CL2# Iron gets a clinch. Iron stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Schmelzer is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Iron to keep the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Iron changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Schmelzer fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Iron shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Schmelzer but Schmelzer pushes him off and we're back to square one. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Iron tries to score a power double leg takedown but Schmelzer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Iron somewhat. Andreas Schmelzer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Iron. Iron moves in looking to clinch but Schmelzer pushes him off.#T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Iron tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Schmelzer counters with a low kick, right behind Iron 's knee. Dan Iron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL2# Iron has closed the distance and engaged Schmelzer in a clinch.
#TD# Schmelzer ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Schmelzer no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Schmelzer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Schmelzer tries to land a sweep but no joy. Schmelzer is still trying to improve position. Schmelzer looking to control but Wallace passes into half guard.

#T1# Schmelzer controlling from the top position. Schmelzer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Schmelzer pushes down on Wallace's leg and manages to get into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Schmelzer in particular looking to stall. Schmelzer wants to free his trapped foot but Wallace is holding on for dear life with his legs. Schmelzer wants to control but Wallace is keeping him busy. #T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Schmelzer is taking a breather. Wallace says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
