#R1##TD# Murray scores with a takedown into Mayweather 's guard. Mayweather is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Murray dives into side control.
#REVB# We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mayweather tries to improve position but can't. The referee asks Murray politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Murray prefers to stall for the moment though. Mayweather is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Murray is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Mayweather wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! You can see the frustration on Mayweather 's face as Murray controls the position. Murray seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mayweather for as long as he can get away with. Murray scores with a couple of short elbows. Murray controls the position from side control.#T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Murray working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mayweather tries to get back to half guard but can't. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Murray in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Mayweather trying to remain calm as Murray controls from the top position.#SU# Murray stands up and beckons Mayweather to his feet. #TD# Mayweather gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Murray to score an easy takedown into full guard. Mayweather is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Murray dives into side control.
#T3##REVB# Murray creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Mayweather being controlled for a moment. Murray has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mayweather can do anything to dispel that myth. Mayweather is looking to reverse the position.#T4# Murray cracks Mayweather with a big elbow. Murray takes a little break here. Mayweather wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.#SU# Murray stands up. #TD# Murray looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Mayweather wants to stand back up but Murray manages to pass into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SU# Murray decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mayweather to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Murray dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. #R2##KD# Murray drops Mayweather with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mayweather looks back up at him and smiles so Murray waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
#CUT# It looks like Floyd Mayweather has been cut. Lee Murray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#KD# Murray cracks Mayweather with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Murray has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mayweather to stand back up!#ROC# Mayweather is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Murray dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Floyd Mayweather is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mayweather glances at the clock... BAM! Murray nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Mayweather crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Mayweather is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lee Murray! Post fight, an emotional Lee Murray said 'Was that one of the worlds best fighters I just beat? Wow!'.
