#R1# Darko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Darko avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Prayton stuffs the takedown attempt from Darko. Darko gets slowly back to his feet. Prayton looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Prayton thows a left - swing and a miss! Darko moves out of range of the strikes. Darko darts in looking for a takedown but Prayton gets double underhooks and turns Darko into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erick Darko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Darko keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Prayton. Darko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Darko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Prayton sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Darko shoots in for a takedown but Prayton shows good takedown defense. Prayton with the counter takedown but Darko avoids it easily.#TD2# Prayton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. #T1# Prayton sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Darko defending well though. Prayton winds up and cracks Darko with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Prayton missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Prayton working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Darko taking some punishment here, with Prayton in his half guard. Prayton is stalling here. Darko is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Prayton seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Darko has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. #SUB# Darko wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Prayton, who protects the arm well. #SUB# Darko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Darko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Darko is looking to take a break and control but Prayton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T2##SUB# Darko tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Darko trying to control the action but Prayton is working from the bottom. Prayton is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Darko is controlling him well. Darko in side control, just content to control the action for now. #T3##SUB# Darko looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Darko trying to control the position but Prayton is working away. #SUB# Darko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Prayton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Prayton is looking to regain half guard here but Darko keeps moving and retains side control. #SUB# Darko is trying to get an arm triangle but Prayton is defending well. #T4# Prayton is looking to reverse the position. Prayton is not content to let Darko control the position. Prayton tries to bench press Darko off him but Darko keeps the position. Who's going to make the next move?#SUB# Darko looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Prayton is looking for a sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Layton Prayton will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2# Darko goes for a double leg but Prayton avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Prayton continues to drive forward. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Darko. Darko looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Darko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Prayton swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erick Darko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Darko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Prayton. Darko fails with a takedown attempt. Prayton throws an off balance right hand
#TD# and Darko counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Darko. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Prayton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Darko is one step ahead there. Erick Darko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Darko postures up.
#T1# Darko passes into half guard. Darko uses his free foot to push down on Prayton's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Prayton. #SUB# Darko is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Prayton has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Prayton! #SUB# Darko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Prayton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Darko keeping moving, preventing Prayton from controlling successfully. #T2# Darko trying to keep a closed guard but Prayton is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Darko is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Prayton rolls with it to try and escape but Darko cranks on the arm and Prayton is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
