#R1# Flare tries to clinch but Richland moves out of range. Flare throws a left and a right that both miss
#CL2# and Richland counters by moving into the clinch. Richland is looking to take this one to the mat. Flare digs a right hand underneath Richland's ribcage. Richland let out a lung full of air as it connected. Richland wants to break the clinch but can't.
#BC2# Richland escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
#TD# Flare shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Richland is trying to defend but Flare finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Richland trying to hold on to Flare's head to control him but Flare postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richland gets back to full guard.
Richland is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.#T1# Richland keeps trying to improve his position. Richland controls Flare momentarily but Flare frees himself. #SUB2# Flare avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Flare wants to control from the top but Richland keeps moving. #T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Richland bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Flare's guard. #REVB# Richland pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Flare is keeping the position for now. Flare wants to get back to his feet but Richland is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Richland wants to control from the top but Flare keeps moving. #T3# Richland won't allow Flare to sweep him here. Flare trying to strike off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Richland trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Flare lands a two punch combo.
#CUT# It looks like Frank Richland has been cut. Flare tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Richland swivels and escapes. Richland swings for the body but Flare moves out of range.
#TD2# Richland looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Richland showing good wrestling skills to control the position. #SUB2# Richland drops back looking for a leg! Flare is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Flare manages to kick Richland off! Richland jumps back into Flare's guard. #T4# Richland stands up over Flare, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Flare wants to get back to his feet but Richland is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Richland works a leg free and moves into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Richland dominated that round. The cut man is working on Frank Richland's cut. That's time! Flare's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. #R2# Flare throws a series of strikes that have Richland backpedaling.
Flare lunges at Richland with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Richland's hand. #ROC# Richland is rocked! Flare works Richland's body with a nice hook. Richland is still on wobbly legs! Can Flare finish him? Flare dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Flare shoots for a double leg takedown but Richland sprawls well. He's pushed Flare's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Flare digs a good body shot into Richland's ribs. Flare showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Richland.
Richland seems to have recovered his senses. Flare catches Richland with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Richland forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
