Silva Santos tries for a takedown but Bones circles away easily and Bones counters with a nice body kick. #TD# Silva Santos is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bones's half guard. Bones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silva Santos missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Bones tries to get to full guard but Silva Santos has control of the leg. Bones controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Bones slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.#T1# Silva Santos controls from within his opponent's guard. Silva Santos trying to control but Bones is working from the bottom. Silva Santos throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Silva Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Bones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Silva Santos won't allow Bones to get back to his feet. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Silva Santos closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bones circles away. Silva Santos fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eduardo Silva Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him.#CL2# Bones drives through and clinches with Silva Santos against the cage.

Silva Santos misses with a takedown and Bones counters with a stiff right hand. Bones cracks Silva Santos with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Silva Santos tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Bones pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Silva Santos is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Melvin Bones! A less than humble Melvin Bones misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Ragnaar misses with a kick to the body and Bones counters with a series of strikes. Ragnaar will be more careful next time no doubt. Bones moves out of range of the leg kick from Ragnaar. Bones avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Bones appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. A big right from Bones misses. Ragnaar thumps Bones with a low kick. Bones checks a low kick from Ragnaar. Bones appears to be looking for a big counter. Ragnaar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Nice defenses there by Bones. Bones throwing a counter right hand but Ragnaar manages to avoid it. Ragnaar slips a straight right by Bones. That kick from Bones tenderised Ragnaar's leg. Bones misses with a body kick. Shum throws a hook to the side of Bones's head but Bones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bones was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Bones misses with a few strikes there.
