Cartagena looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cartagena displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Diaz misses with a hook. Diaz scores with a jab. Cartagena acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Cartagena will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Diaz closes the distance looking to clinch and Cartagena counters with a huge left! Diaz is in big trouble! He's backing up but Cartagena isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Diaz from any more damage. A dominating finish by Cartagena!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Don Cartagena! Don Cartagena was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Ozolinsh looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Diaz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Diaz tries to clinch but Ozolinsh moves out of range. Ozolinsh with a body punch. A glancing blow. Diaz throws a jab but it's blocked by Ozolinsh. Diaz misses with a wild body shot. Ozolinsh swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Diaz slips a jab from Ozolinsh. Ozolinsh seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Ozolinsh lands a glancing blow to the side of Diaz's head.#CUT# It looks like Ragnar Diaz has been cut. Ozolinsh takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Diaz fails in his attempt to clinch. Diaz throws a one two combo.

Dyon fails with a takedown attempt. #CL# The fight moves into the clinch position.#BC# Diaz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dyon is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Diaz tries to clinch up but Dyon circles away and keeps his distance. Dyon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Diaz defends it nicely. Ragnar Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juu Dyon. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Qiang is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Sloppy strikes from Diaz. Those never looked like landing. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Qiang! But no joy. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Diaz!

Diaz throws a big counter combination but Qiang scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Qiang moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diaz slips a jab and a cross from Qiang.
Nice jab there from Diaz. Qiang throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Diaz on the side of the head. #ROC2# Diaz is rocked! Diaz walks straight into a right hand from Qiang - that's dropped him! Qiang jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Diaz from any more punishment! Diaz complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Mbaa just misses with a punch to the body.
Diaz swings away with a leg kick that misses. Diaz seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Mbaa takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
