Mercy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mercy throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Thorton takes a shot right to the bread basket. Mercy misses with a head kick.
Thorton blocks a head kick by Mercy.
Thorton changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Mercy scores with a shot to the body.

Thorton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mercy as he avoids it easily. Mercy throws a nice inside leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Mercy turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.#T1# Mercy getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Mercy scores with a push kick. Thorton shoots in looking for a takedown. Mercy tries to sprawl out of it but Thorton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Mercy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Thorton avoids the head kick by Mercy.
Thorton with a lazy takedown attempt and Mercy counters with a three punch combo that has Thorton backing up. Thorton nods at Mercy to acknowledge the strikes. Melvin Mercy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luther Thorton. Thorton avoids the head kick by Mercy.

Sears's jab looks to have found its range, popping Thorton under the eye. Sears ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thorton moves away.#TD# Thorton drives through with a takedown into guard. Sears is trying to keep Thorton in close.

Thorton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sears looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Sears really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thorton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sears is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. Sears is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Thorton pulls down on the head and he's put Sears to sleep! This one is all over!

#R1# Thorton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ingles pinned against the ropes. Ingles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ingles slaps away a takedown attempt from Thorton, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ingles moves into range and connects with a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thorton fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luther Thorton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ingles throws a series of punches but Thorton avoids them all with ease. Ingles fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Thorton looks hurt but is still standing! Ingles lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Thorton falls down and Ingles dives in with a huge hammer fist! Thorton's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Ingles runs up the ropes to celebrate with his fans!

#R1# Lazada moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.#CL# Thorton clinches up with Lazada and pushes him back against the ropes.#TD2# Lazada tightens his grip and picks Thorton up, before dumping him to the ground. Thorton manages to land in guard. #SUB# Thorton has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lazada should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Thorton has tightened it up now! Lazada should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
