#R1##CL2# Blair moves into the clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Aguirre is pushing Blair up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. #TD2# Aguirre is fighting off a takedown attempt but Blair is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Aguirre to the mat. Aguirre regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Blair sitting in guard here, content to control. Blair postures up.
Blair with a flurry of punches that miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blair stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aguirre swivels though and keeps the full guard. Blair is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Blair would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. #T1# Aguirre is trying to keep Blair in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aguirre is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Blair throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. As Blair looks to move away, Aguirre throws a big counter combo but Blair just gets out of the way. Aguirre throws a head kick but Blair moves out of range.
Blair throws out a counter right but Aguirre avoids it with no problem. Aguirre lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Aguirre misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
#TD2# Blair fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Aguirre sprawls well initially but Blair persists and gets the takedown into half guard. #T2# Aguirre on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Blair performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Aguirre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blair is working away from the top position though.#T3# Blair trying to control from half guard but Aguirre is working away. Blair is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Aguirre looking for submissions off his back. Aguirre keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Aguirre is not content to let Blair control the position.#T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Blair frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Aguirre is just holding on here. Blair manages to take his back.
Aguirre trying to control but not successfully. #SUB2# Blair is looking for the choke from the back position but Aguirre is controlling his hands well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#SUB2# Aguirre is trying to defend against the choke here but Blair has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Blair Tightens the hold and Aguirre taps out furiously! Blair displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
