#R1# Gauser shoots for a double leg takedown but Jaskok sprawls well. He's pushed Gauser's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Gauser misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Gauser scores with a body shot.
Gauser steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jaskok. Gauser went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Jaskok defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gauser. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Gauser. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2# Jaskok shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Jaskok trying to control the position from guard on top but Gauser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jaskok pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gauser is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Jaskok thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. #SUB# Gauser looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jaskok has picked Gauser up and slammed him! Gauser can't keep hold of the triangle and Jaskok manages to pass to side control!#SUB2# Jaskok working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. #T1##SUB2# Jaskok is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gauser is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Gauser could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#SUB2# Jaskok has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gauser is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jaskok yanks on the arm and Gauser is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jaskok.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hugh Jaskok!
