We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kerchev has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Kerchev seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Serrano does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Serrano has cracked Kerchev with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Serrano lands another huge swinging hook and Kerchev tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Kerchev, before Serrano can land any more shots!

Miasa is working to tighten his grip on Kerchev's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kerchev has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Miasa is really squeezing tight and eventually Kerchev passes out! Miasa breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
