#R1# Brenan swings for the body but Laine moves out of range.
#CL2# Laine has closed the distance and engaged Brenan in a clinch.
Brenan letting Laine take a breather here. Laine can't break the clinch.
Laine lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Brenan backwards. Brenan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Laine smiles and moves away.
Brenan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Laine. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brenan. Brenan tries to clinch up. Laine shoots for a takedown but Brenan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brenan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Brenan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brenan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Laine manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Laine connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Brenan tumbling to the canvas! Laine pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Brenan was done - good stoppage!
