#R1##CL# Solan takes the fight into the clinch. McNamara drops down looking for an ankle pick but Solan pulls his leg out and moves away.
#CL# Solan rushes McNamara and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.#BC# Solan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #CL# Solan gets in close and instigates a clinch. Solan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McNamara has him pressed against the cage. Solan tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and McNamara avoids it. Solan wants to break the clinch but can't.
McNamara has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Solan after a bit of a struggle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Solan is defending well against a takedown attempt. Brain Solan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon McNamara. McNamara creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. #BC# Solan manages to break the clinch.
#CL# Solan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McNamara, pushing him back against the cage. Solan lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of McNamara backwards. Solan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. #T1##BC2# McNamara's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#CL# Solan darts in and clinches McNamara up against the cage. McNamara drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Solan gets the underhooks and prevents it.

McNamara is trying to pull guard but Solan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.#TD# Solan jumps guard and drags McNamara to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. McNamara with a flurry of punches that miss. McNamara works a leg free and moves into half guard. Solan is trying to stand up here but McNamara is controlling him well. #ES# Solan kicks McNamara off and gets back to his feet. Brain Solan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL# Solan clinches up against the cage.#T2# McNamara is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Solan to keep the fight standing. McNamara looks winded! McNamara tries for a takedown but Solan manages to get underhooks.
Solan has had enough of the clinch but McNamara keeps him there for the moment. McNamara has Solan pressed against the cage, preventing Solan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.#BC# Solan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Solan dances in with a quick combination. McNamara is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Solan snaps McNamara's head back. McNamara stumbles backwards against the cage. Solan steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with McNamara's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. McNamara just didn't come prepared.

#TD# McNamara gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Schimpson to score an easy takedown into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Schimpson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McNamara is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McNamara has escaped and now he's on top! #REVB# McNamara lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jon McNamara showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And that's the end of the fight! Jon McNamara comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well McNamara has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Whitehead can't do much from the bottom here. McNamara works to advance to full mount. Whitehead defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. McNamara controlling from the full mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McNamara tries to control but Whitehead wriggling away. Whitehead tries to hold on but McNamara pushes him away. #T1# McNamara sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Whitehead tries to lock up and control but McNamara gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. McNamara can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Whitehead is looking to escape. Whitehead is desperately trying to improve his position but McNamara has a good base and remains in mount. Whitehead wants to control but McNamara is having none of it. McNamara lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
#CUT2# It looks like Fredric Whitehead has been cut.#T2# McNamara looking to finish Whitehead with some ground and pound. This is bad for Whitehead! Whitehead really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
