and Dragnovskji connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.#TD# Dragnovskji shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cole manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Cole wants to stand and escape but Dragnovskji is having none of it. Dragnovskji wants to pass the guard but Cole is keeping the position. Cole is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cole throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dragnovskji controlling his opponent. Cole regains half guard. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Cole can't do much from the bottom here. #T4# Cole has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dragnovskji finds it's way round the side to connect with Cole's head. Cole with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dragnovskji to score with a decent uppercut. This has been an exciting period of action! Good standup being displayed there by Dragnovskji as he connects with a hook. It looks like Dragnovskji has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.#CL2# Cole clinches. Dragnovskji is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Dragnovskji is trying to break the clinch but Cole is controlling him. Cole takes a shot to the head. Dragnovskji lands a hook that snaps the head of Cole backwards. #ROC# Cole is rocked! Dragnovskji makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Cole is still on wobbly legs! Can Dragnovskji finish him? Dragnovskji lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Dragnovskji creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Cole's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Cole drops to his knees and Dragnovskji pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Stankovic Dragnovskji made sure he mentioned King of Clothes, along with how happy he was to win his fight. #R1# Davis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cole was well out of range. Poor timing from Davis. Davis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cole circles away quickly and effectively.#KD# Davis lands a left and a right that send Cole crashing to the mat, dazed. Davis thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC# Cole is rocked!#CUT# It looks like Jermaine Cole has been cut. Davis goes for a small jab and connects. Now Davis goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Cole stumbles back but Davis runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Cole to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Cole will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

#R1# A jab from Cole finds it's way through Van Halen's defenses. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Van Halen. Van Halen tries a head kick but it misses.
Cole misses with a takedown attempt #TD# and Van Halen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Van Halen. Van Halen postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Cole wants to stand and escape but Van Halen is having none of it. Van Halen chips away with some ground and pound. Van Halen works over Cole with some ground and pound from guard. Van Halen trying to control but Cole is working from the bottom. Van Halen postures up and lands a big shot to Cole's brow. Van Halen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cole's guard. Van Halen trying to control from half guard but Cole is working away. Cole is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. #SUB# Van Halen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cole defends it well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#ES2# Cole has one foot on Van Halen's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.#T1# Cole throws a series of punches but Van Halen moves out of range. Van Halen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cole.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Cole taking some punishment here, with Van Halen in his half guard. Van Halen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Cole wants to get back to full guard. Van Halen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cole with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Van Halen slips a nice elbow through Cole's hands, connecting with Cole's forehead. Van Halen working the head and body with strikes. Van Halen lands with a punch from half guard. #ES2# Cole manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Van Halen keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#TD# Van Halen jumps guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Van Halen holds on and takes a little breather. #SUB# Van Halen has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Cole doesn't defend quickly enough and Van Halen has managed to lock this one up! Can Cole escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Van Halen on a fantastic submission victory.

Cole throws a right hand that Vlad ducks under and follows up with a left that Vlad also avoids with ease. Cole throws a wild combination but nothing lands. #CL2# Vlad clinches. Cole drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vlad pulls his leg out and moves away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vlad connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cole's hands. Vlad showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cole.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jermaine Cole! Jermaine Cole tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
