Danger avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Ryan throws a body punch but Danger moves out of range. #CL2# Ryan gets a clinch. Danger lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Danger scores with a nice short uppercut. Nice body punch from Danger. Ryan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Danger just stands there and leans against the cage.#BC# Danger pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#TD# Danger looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ryan wants to stand and escape but Danger is having none of it. Danger wants to get up but he can't break Ryan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Ryan is looking to stand up but Danger isn't so interested in that idea. Ryan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Whiston swivels and escapes. Ryan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Whiston lands a nice shot that snaps Ryan's head back.

Ryan shoots in but no luck this time. An attempted straight right counter from Whiston misses the target. Whiston feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ryans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Whiston scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This has been an exciting period of action! Ryan moves in looking to clinch but Whiston pushes him off. Whiston lands a glancing blow to the side of Ryan's head. Brock has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.#TD# Ryan feints and as Brock raises his hands in defense, Ryan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.#ES2# Brock manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Brock lands a hook that snaps the head of Ryan backwards. Ryan wants to take the fight to the mat but Brock manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Ryan misses with a knee strike.
