#R1# Kumari throws a nice looking combination but Lawler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lawler checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Kumari misses with a looping left. Kumari throws a hook to the side of Lawler's head but Lawler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've been hearing reports that Kumari has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Kumari thows a leg kick but Lawler checks it and Lawler counters with a nice uppercut. #CL2# Lawler gets a clinch. Kumari is trying to pull guard but Lawler turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Kumari fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Kumari will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!#KD2# Rush feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lawler sprawling to the canvas! Lawler rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rush finish him?!
Rush thows a body kick. Lawler tries to catch it but that hurt him. #TD2# Rush shoots in and bounces Lawler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rush controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Rush stands up over Lawler, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rush slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Lawler keeping moving, preventing Rush from controlling successfully. #T1# Lawler is trying to keep Rush in close.

And that's the end of the fight! Kevin Rush comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rush has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Lawler is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brewer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brewer. No luck for Brewer with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Neal Brewer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brewer lands with a thumping leg kick.

There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Padilla lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lawler circles away quickly and effectively. We're back to striking at a distance. Padilla shoots in for a takedown but Lawler shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Padilla covering up well and avoiding damage. Padilla is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Lawler.
#SUB2# Lawler is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Padilla knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Padilla for a finish. Lawler missing with punches from the back. Nelson Padilla has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gary Lawler is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Padilla trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
And that's the end of the fight! Gary Lawler comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lawler has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
