#R1# Nice sprawl there from Mathiew as Burke shoots in. Burke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mathiew but Mathiew pushes him off and we're back to square one. Burke will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Mathiew tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Mathiew lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Burke takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Burke swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Burke takes a swing at Mathiew's ribcage but misses. #TD2# Mathiew looking to score a takedown here. Burke is defending well but Mathiew drives through and ends up in Burke's guard. Burke is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mathiew dives into side control.
#REVR# Burke is letting Mathiew control him for a moment. Mathiew advances to full mount. #T1# Mathiew looking to control but Burke is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Burke is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mathiew working away from the top, dropping strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burke is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mathiew can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Burke is looking to escape. Burke keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
