#CL# and Pate holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Pate is pushing Martinez up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. #BC# Pate escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

#TD# Pate has Martinez pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pate pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Martinez tumbling to the mat - Pate dives into Martinez's guard. Pate with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Pate has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Martinez looking for a sweep.
