Mayer cracks Kalashnikov on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Kalashnikov falls backwards against the cage. Mayer follows up with more strikes that drop Kalashnikov to his knees. Mayer keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Kalashnikov! This one is all over!

Mayer lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Kalashnikov will be OK.

Riggs cracks Kalashnikov with a right hand to the side of the head.#CUT2# It looks like Artur Kalashnikov has been cut. Kalashnikov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Riggs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Riggs paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.#ROC2# Kalashnikov is rocked! Kalashnikov walks straight into a right hand from Riggs - that's dropped him! Riggs jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Kalashnikov from any more punishment! Kalashnikov complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Morato is motioning to the referee to let Kalashnikov up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Kalashnikov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Morato stuffs the takedown. Morato scores with a nice head shot.#ROC# Kalashnikov is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. #R1# Left hook, right uppercut from Smeg. Smeg throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kalashnikov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smeg tries to avoid it but Kalashnikov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smeg to the ground. Smeg escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kalashnikov shoots in but Smeg avoids the takedown attempt easily. Smeg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Smeg throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Kalashnikov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smeg looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Kalashnikov dodges the punch combination from Smeg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smeg takes a swing at Kalashnikov's ribcage but misses. Kalashnikov needs to keep his hands up - Smeg had a free shot at his head there. Nice sprawl there from Smeg as Kalashnikov shoots in.
