#R1# Ross connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Ross throws a series of punches but Fire avoids them all with ease. A left and a right from Ross both land. Nice combination. #CUT2# It looks like John Fire has been cut.#TD# Fire fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ross to the ground. Fire is now in Ross's guard. Ross is wriggling around but Fire manages to pass to half guard.

Ross really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fire. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Fire is looking for a kimura. #T1##ES2# Ross kicks Fire off and gets back to his feet. Fire gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ross counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Ross is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Fire gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ross. Fire takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.#TD# Fire darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Ross wants to get back to his feet.
#T2##ES2# Ross makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ross misses with an attempted mid kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ross. That's going to slow Fire down. Fire shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ross as he avoids it easily. Ross lands a body shot.

Fire throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ross's waist but Ross gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fire off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Fire. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fire is breathing heavily. Fire has his takedown stuffed and Ross counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ross scores with a decent looking hook. Ross wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Fire is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ross. A shot to the liver by Ross. Beautiful body shot. Ross shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fire eats them both and turns towards Ross to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. John Fire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ross connects with a body shot that sends Fire's belly button to the back. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ross, as that shot connected.
Ross's corner calls for a 1-2. Ross obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Ross clobbers Fire with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fire fails with a takedown attempt. Ross is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Ross scores with a jab to the body.#T4# Ross lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Fire backs up against the cage.
Ross scores with a nice strike. Fire takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ross lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Ross is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Fire had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Danga de danga de dang - Ross scores with a four punch combination! Ross feints a jab promting Fire to slip. Ross then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Fire slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Fire fails to land the takedown. Ross keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A punch lands to the side of Fire 's head but he takes it in his stride. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fire on the wrong end of a nice jab. Ross is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Fire takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fire takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Irvin Ross dominated that round. The cut man is working on John Fire's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! #R2# Fire shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ross but Ross pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ross swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

#ES2# Ross has one foot on Fire's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Ross clobbers Fire with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. #T2# Fire shoots in for a takedown but Ross shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ross lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Fire fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ross avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Fire. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ross connects with a body shot. Ross bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fire's head backwards. Fire takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Ross has been the more effective fighter overall so far. This has been an exciting period of action! Ross misses with the combination.

He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Ross connects with a crisp jab. Oh Fire is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ross connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Fire to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Ross!

#R1# Nice lands a jab.#CUT# It looks like John Fire has been cut. Nice throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fire. Nice misses with a wild combination.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Nice.
Fire lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nice circles away quickly and effectively. Some wild striking there from Nice.
#KD# Oooooh!!! Nice has knocked Fire down with a huge combo! Nice steps away and waves a wobbly Fire back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice moves out of range of the leg kick from Fire. A looping hook to the body misses from Fire. Nice does a little dance to reset his feet. Nice throws a big counter combination but Fire scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Nice misses with a series of wild punches.

#T1# Fire get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Fire stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Nice runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
