Well Overeem has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Scott tries to score a power double leg takedown but Perez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Scott somewhat. Scott tries to clinch up but Perez circles away and keeps his distance. Scott shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Perez as he avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
#CUT2# It looks like Samuel Scott has been cut. Scott with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Perez to score with a decent uppercut. Scott really is a fat lump. Colt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Colt wants to stand but Scott has his arm trapped. Souza trying to stand up but can't free himself from Scott's guard. Scott wants to sweep but no luck. Scott will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
#ES# Scott kicks Souza off and gets to his feet. Scott avoids the head kick by Souza.
#TD2# Souza shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Scott manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Scott might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Scott manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Souza manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR# Souza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
