Pearson throws an overhand right that lands on Minare's shoulder, as Minare tries to avoid the shot.
And Minare tries to counter it with a takedown but Pearson pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Pearson fails to land with a series of punches.
Minare tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pearson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Minare steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pearson.
Minare throws a big counter head kick but Pearson avoids it with no problem.
Minare looks for a takedown but Pearson sprawls well.
Pearson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Minare's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pearson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Minare scrambles back to his feet.

Tyson Pearson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Minare keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pearson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pearson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Minare gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Minare tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Pearson is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Minare buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Minare!! Minare is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Pearson throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Minare shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Slayer pinned against the cage. Slayer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Slayer misses with a low kick.
Minare unleashes a big counter combination but Slayer bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Horrible takedown attempt by Minare or perhaps it was just good defense by Slayer, which made it look bad.
Slayer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Slayer looks to land a body kick but Minare moved away.
Minare throws out a leg kick but Slayer moves out of range and Minare only half commits.
Slayer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Minare moves away from the strike by Slayer.
Slayer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Minare was well out of range. Poor timing from Slayer.
And Minare tries to counter it with a takedown but Slayer pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Slayer throws a head kick that misses #TD2#
and Minare counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Slayer! #SU2#

One really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
