Vladimirovich drops down looking for an ankle pick but Buitenwesten pulls his leg out and moves away.
Buitenwesten scores with a hook to the body. Vladimirovich takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Buitenwesten throws a right hand that Vladimirovich ducks under and follows up with a left that Vladimirovich also avoids with ease.#CL# Buitenwesten clinches up against the cage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vladimirovich passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Buitenwesten! Buitenwesten wants to hold on but Vladimirovich pushes him away. Buitenwesten knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vladimirovich on the ground. Vladimirovich lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Vladimirovich throwing strikes but Buitenwesten bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vladimirovich seems keen to control Buitenwesten's posture. Vladimirovich has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Buitenwesten is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Buitenwesten is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Vladimirovich.

#R1# Buitenwesten tries to clinch but Writer is having none of it. Buitenwesten defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Writer. Buitenwesten leaves Writer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Writer or perhaps it was just good defense by Buitenwesten, which made it look bad. Writer sets himself, and Buitenwesten steps forward looking for the clinch! Writer avoids it this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JR Writer. That's going to take a lot out of him.#CL2# Buitenwesten clinches up against the cage. Writer tries to circle away but Buitenwesten has him pinned against the cage. Buitenwesten creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Writer's defenses. Buitenwesten tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Buitenwesten lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Writer backwards. Buitenwesten has Writer pressed against the cage, preventing Writer from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Writer is trying to break free. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buitenwesten lands a shot to the body. Buitenwesten lands on the inside with an uppercut. Buitenwesten works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

#R1# Scorpion lands with a kick to the temple. Buitenwesten shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" #CUT2# It looks like Bas Buitenwesten has been cut. Buitenwesten throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Buitenwesten fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Buitenwesten takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Buitenwesten - that will leave a mark!
Scorpion shoots in looking for a takedown. Buitenwesten tries to sprawl out of it but Scorpion keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Buitenwesten manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. #CL# Scorpion gets tackled into the cage by Buitenwesten. Buitenwesten maintains the clinch. Scorpion misses with a hook from the clinch. Buitenwesten throws an elbow that misses.

He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Buitenwesten swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Omosko with a hook. Buitenwesten throws a jab but it's blocked by Omosko. Omosko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Buitenwesten counters with a nice uppercut. #CUT2# It looks like Yui Omosko has been cut. Omosko shoots in but no luck this time. Omosko scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Omosko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Buitenwesten sees it coming and avoids it easily. Omosko connects with a single shot there. Buitenwesten moves in looking to clinch but Omosko pushes him off. Buitenwesten throws a lazy uppercut
and Buitenwesten takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Buitenwesten feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Omosko's calf. Omosko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Buitenwesten sees it coming and avoids it easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
