#R1# A low kick from Tarkin misses #TD# and Acosta counters with a takedown into side control. Tarkin is looking for a sweep. Tarkin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Tarkin stops Acosta from getting back to his feet.
Tarkin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Acosta knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. #SU2# Tarkin decides to stand and escape the position. #TD2# Tarkin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tarkin looks up at the clock and then as Acosta takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tarkin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

and Qui counters with a three punch combo that has Acosta backing up. Acosta nods at Qui to acknowledge the strikes. Qui dodges the punch combination from Acosta.
Despite the aggression on Qui's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.#CL2# Qui gets in close and instigates a clinch. Acosta tries to score a body lock takedown but Qui shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Qui missing with knees to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#BC2# Qui escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Low Qui seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Acosta doesn't succeed with the takedown and Qui counters with a lovely straight right hand! Acosta throws a poor cross that misses

Acosta is working for takedown but Quen is calmly controlling the position for now. Acosta is trying to drag Quen to the mat but Quen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Quen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Acosta.
Acosta goes for a takedown attempt but Quen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

This has been an exciting period of action!#SUB2# Acosta is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Quen gets his way!

And that's the end of the fight! Chun Quen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Quen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
