Manipot escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Manipot shoots in but no luck this time.
Manipot looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mendelev is fending him off so far but Manipot persists. Nope, Mendelev circles away and we're back to standing.

Mendelev shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Manipot's guard.
Manipot preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Manipot is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mendelev can't fight it off and eventually Manipot manages to take the fight to the floor. Mendelev looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Mendelev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mendelev can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mendelev is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Manipot has his hands clasped together but Mendelev extends and breaks Manipot's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Mendelev.
