Ortiz shoots and misses #CL2# and Garcia moves into the clinch. Ortiz is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Garcia pulls him back up using the underhooks. Ortiz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ortiz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Garcia prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lupe Ortiz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ortiz is looking to break free of the clinch but Garcia has double underhooks. Ortiz is looking to take this one to the mat. Ortiz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Garcia was covering up waiting for the punch and Lowe finishes the takedown easily into guard. Lowe missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Lowe is in close to Garcia's body, working some short punches and elbows. Lowe prevents Garcia from getting back to his feet. Garcia avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lowe throws a strike but Garcia rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVB# Lowe wants to stand up but Garcia is controlling him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garcia pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lowe is keeping the position for now. Garcia must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
