#R1# Hernandez thumps Chunk with a low kick.#TD2# Hernandez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#SUB# Hernandez has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Chunk to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hernandez is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Chunk pulls down on the head and he's put Hernandez to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Thunder Chunk!

#R1# Hernandez throws a right and a left that both miss. A little feinted left hand from Pennington on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Hernandez misses the shot to the body. Hernandez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pennington's waist but Pennington gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hernandez off to one side. #CL2# Hernandez clinches up with Pennington and pushes him back against the cage. Hernandez fails to pull guard.
#TD# Pennington is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hernandez can't fight it off and eventually Pennington manages to take the fight to the floor. Hernandez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hernandez is looking to stand back up but Pennington counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Hernandez. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#REVB# Pennington seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hernandez wants to sweep but Pennington has passed to side control!#T1##SUB# Pennington is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hernandez is trying to escape and Pennington transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hernandez is forced to tap! Nice work there by Pennington! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Matt Pennington!
