Kokalovic wants to clinch up but Flipper keeps it at a distance. Flipper works over Kokalovic's head and body with a nice combination.#CL# Kokalovic gets in close and instigates a clinch. #BC# Kokalovic breaks from the clinch.
#CL2# Kokalovic gets tackled into the cage by Flipper. Flipper maintains the clinch. Kokalovic gets underhooks to prevent Flipper's takedown attempt.
The referee is keeping an eye on Kokalovic - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Flipper takes a shot to the head. Flipper tries to pull guard but Kokalovic forces him back to his feet, against the cage.#BC# Kokalovic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Flipper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Flipper changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Flipper swats away the attempt to clinch by Kokalovic.#CL# Kokalovic moves into the clinch.#T1# Flipper is looking to break free of the clinch but Kokalovic has double underhooks. #TD# Kokalovic has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Flipper uses from the top position. Flipper should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kokalovic lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kokalovic is looking to work some ground and pound but Flipper has wrist control. Kokalovic missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kokalovic keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Flipper's head. Kokalovic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Flipper swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kokalovic trying to control but Flipper is working from the bottom. Kokalovic sitting in guard, not really doing much. #T2##SUB2# Flipper has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kokalovic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Flipper pulls Kokalovic in to control the position. Kokalovic trying to control but Flipper is working from the bottom. Flipper controlling Kokalovic's posture. #T3# Kokalovic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Flipper working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kokalovic. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Kokalovic trying to control the position from guard on top but Flipper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#CL# Flipper gets tackled into the cage by Kokalovic. Kokalovic maintains the clinch. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Flipper wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kokalovic tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Kokalovic lands an uppercut.#T4# Kokalovic lands with a short shot to the head. Flipper wants to break the clinch but can't.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kokalovic. Kokalovic misses with some punches.
#BC# Kokalovic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kokalovic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flipper swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kokalovic closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Flipper! Kokalovic dives in looking to finish! Flipper is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

#R1##TD2# Flipper scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Norman wants to control but Flipper postures up. Norman is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Norman tries to bench press Flipper off him but Flipper keeps the position. Norman is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SU2# Flipper decides to stand up, so the ref orders Norman to his feet. Flipper misses with a takedown attempt - Norman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Flipper closes this distance looking for a takedown but Norman circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Norman misses with a takedown and Flipper connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Norman tries for a takedown but Flipper sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.#CL2# Flipper forces Norman back against the cage and clinches.#T1##BC2# Flipper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Flipper tries to bum rush Norman with a series of wild strikes but Norman uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Erik Norman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD# Norman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Flipper tries to get to full guard but Norman has control of the leg. Flipper is looking to escape. Flipper throws a strike from the bottom but Norman passes into side control!

Norman throwing strikes but Flipper manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! #T2# Norman on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Norman tries to get back to half guard but can't. Norman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Flipper trying to control the action but Norman is working from the bottom. Flipper working the ground and pound from side control. Norman gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ground and pound from Flipper. #T3# Norman is looking to improve his position.
Norman is refusing to be controlled, as Flipper sits in half guard. Flipper working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Norman slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Flipper tries to free his leg and advance position but Norman is retaining full guard. #SUB# Norman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Flipper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Flipper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Flipper trying to control the position from guard on top but Norman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Norman wants to sweep but no luck. #T4# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Norman can't keep his opponent in guard - Flipper advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Norman slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Norman is breathing heavily. Flipper pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Norman is keeping the position for now. #SU2# Flipper gets to his feet. Norman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Norman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Flipper but Flipper pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erik Norman. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#KD2# Flipper lands a left and a right that send Norman crashing to the mat, dazed. Flipper thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC2# Norman is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yabazooie Flipper dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. #R2# Flipper fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Oh Norman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!#CUT2# It looks like Erik Norman has been cut.#TD2# Flipper closes the distance looking for a takedown. Flipper picks Norman up and slams him brutally to the floor. Norman is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!

#R1# Nice straight punches there by Battle. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Battle. Battle throws a right and a left that both miss. Battle scores with a nice head shot. Battle throws a right and a left that Flipper avoids nicely. Flipper appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Battle just misses with a punch to the body.

#TD# and Flipper counters with a shoot takedown. Battle fights it but they end up in guard. #ES2# Battle pushes Flipper off and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Battle swings widly with a right hand
and Flipper connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Flipper defending well as Battle loads up on a big left hand. Flipper fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Battle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Flipper manages to avoid it. Flipper slips a jab from Battle. Battle lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Flipper backs up against the cage.
Battle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Flipper walks straight into a right hand from Battle - that's dropped him! Battle jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Flipper from any more punishment! Flipper complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dre Battle! Dre Battle decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

#R1# Flipper walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Villanueva checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. #TD# Flipper changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Villanueva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Villanueva is trying to get back to his feet. Villanueva takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
#SU# Flipper stands up. Flipper keeps the fight on the outside. Flipper just misses with a punch to the body.

Flipper connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Villanueva some visible discomfort.
Flipper prevents Villanueva from escaping the position. Flipper lands a nice forearm strike. #ROC# Villanueva is rocked! Villanueva is being controlled here. Villanueva is still in real trouble! Can Flipper finish him? Flipper prevents Villanueva from escaping the position. Villanueva seems to have recovered his senses. Flipper works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Villanueva wants to get back to his feet.#SUB# Flipper tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. #T2# Sloppy strikes there by Flipper. Villanueva pushes Flipper away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Flipper gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Flipper tries to score with some ground and pound. Villanueva controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Flipper works to advance to full mount. Villanueva defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Flipper is in the full mount, landing strikes. Flipper tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Villanueva wants to try and get back to his feet.#T3##SUB# Flipper working for a submission but Villanueva is keeping him at bay. You get the feeling that Villanueva really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Flipper controlling from the full mount. Villanueva takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Flipper's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
