#CUT2# It looks like Gary Wilmot has been cut. Pettis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. A head kick misses from Wilmot. Wilmot looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Pettis lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A punch combination from Wilmot misses. Pettis scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Pettis thuds his right hand into Wilmot's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Pettis lands a jab to Wilmot's midsection. Wilmot is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pettis throws a right and a left that Wilmot avoids nicely. Pettis comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.#KD2# Pettis cracks Wilmot with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Wilmot looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Pettis finish him?
#ROC2# Wilmot is rocked! Pettis pounces like a tiger and cracks Wilmot with a vicious hook! Wilmot is down but not out! Pettis follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. Gary Wilmot spoke after the fight, saying 'He was a tough opponent, you can't win them all!'.

#R1##TD# Wilmot shoots in and gets a takedown into Grove's guard.#ES2# Grove has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Wilmot off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. #CL# Wilmot takes the fight into the clinch. #BC# Wilmot breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
#CL# Wilmot instigates a clinch. Grove drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

#CL# Wilmot closes the distance and clinches. #T1# Wilmot lands a body punch in the clinch. Wilmot lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. #CUT# It looks like David Grove has been cut. Wilmot lands a damaging elbow. Grove dodges an elbow strike from Wilmot.
Wilmot tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Grove avoids it. Wilmot crunches a lovely knee into Grove's ribcage.#TD# Wilmot turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Wilmot manages to end up in side control. Wilmot working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Grove tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wilmot content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Grove struggling a bit here.#T2# Wilmot controlling the position. Wilmot is looking to take a break and control but Grove is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Grove's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grove gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Grove is trying to maintain the position but Wilmot is very close to passing his half guard. Grove is trying to stand.
#T3# The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wilmot lands a nice short elbow. Wilmot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grove on the ground. Grove on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Wilmot is looking to stall here but Grove recovers full guard. Grove trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilmot lands a couple of digs. Wilmot preventing the sweep. Grove feints the counter takedown. No luck with that takedown attempt from Wilmot. Grove with the counter takedown but Wilmot avoids it easily. Wilmot tries a head kick but it misses.
Wilmot is looking to take this fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gary Wilmot dominated that round. The cut man is working on David Grove's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2# Wilmot tries for a takedown but Grove sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Grove with the counter takedown but Wilmot avoids it easily.#CL# Wilmot drives through and clinches with Grove against the cage.
Nice elbow from Wilmot. Grove goes for a takedown attempt but Wilmot pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A left and a right from Wilmot both land. Nice combination. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilmot tries to clinch but Grove moves away #TD2# and Grove counters with a shoot takedown. Wilmot fights it but they end up in guard. #T1# Wilmot tries to land a sweep but no joy. Grove lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wilmot is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Grove dives into side control.
David Grove has got the better of the ground game so far.#SUB2# Grove is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Wilmot looks calm but he's in trouble here. Grove gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Wilmot is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Grove lets go of the hold and Wilmot can pop his arm back in it's socket.

#R1##CL2# Wilmot gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Wilmot is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Fleming tries to pull guard but Wilmot forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Wilmot lands a knee to the body.
Wilmot lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. #TD# Fleming pulls guard effortlessly. #SU2# Wilmot stands up from guard. Let's bang! Wilmot tries a head kick but it misses.
#CL2# Wilmot moves into the clinch. Wilmot working some nice short punches in the clinch. Fleming tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wilmot smiles and moves away.
Fleming scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Fleming misses with a straight left. Wilmot raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Fleming throws a left and a right that both miss
and Wilmot counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. #T1##TD2# Wilmot scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. #ES# Fleming kicks off Wilmot and gets to his feet. Fleming blocks a head kick by Wilmot.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fleming can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wilmot controls the pace.
