#R1# Patrik tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hicks appears to be looking for a counter takedown.#CL# The fight moves into the clinch position.#BC2# Patrik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Patrik tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hicks defends well and Patrik ends up having to push Hicks into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Hicks wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Patrik shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hicks sprawls well. Hicks wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Patrik gets slowly back to his feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Patrik looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Patrik throws a lazy head kick #CL# and Hicks counters by moving into the clinch. #TD# Hicks is trying to trip Patrik. He has hold of a leg but Patrik is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hicks persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Hicks distracts Patrik with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.#T1# Patrik looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hicks prevents Patrik from getting back to his feet.
